Market leader Sony, sold 900 thousand units of Playstation VR
Sony has announced that it has sold over 900,000 units of PlayStation VR product. The news was made public by Andrew House, representative of the company in Japan.
The device was launched in October last year at a price of 399 dollars. House also announced that the company's internal goal was to sell a million units by April, which seems quite achievable now.
PlayStation VR seems to be quite ahead of the competition - according to a report SuperData Research, by the end of 2016 they sold a total of 243,000 units and 420,000 units Oculus Rift HTC Vive.
Speaking about the device fame in Japan, House said that the people there long wait in line outside stores when new stocks.
